PRIVATE TOUR GUIDE
About Me
Hello, I’m Dennis and I love my city.
Originally from the beautiful Dutch countryside where I was born and raised and studied Architecture. After travelling the world, I ended up in Amsterdam around the year 2000. My passion for travelling, food, cycling, reading books, curiosity and interact with people makes Amsterdam the perfect place for me. We both have a free and rebellious spirit and I dare to say I’m fully integrated in the city and know it like the back of my hand.
I believe in sharing the good things in live with each other and to call my passion my job is a dream come true. I tend to connect easily with people and I’m beyond eager to show you my passion for Amsterdam and The Netherlands. Obviously trying to infect you with my genuine enthusiasm.
I more than just a guide, I’m your friend during your stay.

How I Work
Do you want to experience your stay in Amsterdam as if you’re visiting a friend? That’s how people describe my tours. Before your stay I’ll contact you to discover your wishes during your stay. Your wishes combined with my knowledge of the nicest places, hangouts and favorite routes results in a unique and exclusively build tour just for you.
My tours are for all ages and always unscripted, everything on my tours is spontaneous and real. In Amsterdam my tours are mainly done by walking, by bike or by private boat. Since that’s been said, I always suggest spending a few hours on a private boat because in my opinion you really missed out on something if you haven’t seen Amsterdam from the water. Before we go on board we’ll buy a picnic an maybe a bottle of wine to comfort your stay on the water.
Whether you want to see more of things like Architecture, Culture, Art, Dutch & Jewish History, Museums, Markets, Neighbourhoods, Nightlife, Food and Drinks, I will happily point out the highlights, but my specialism are the favorite locations of the locals.
I’m specialized in day trips to other Dutch cities like Rotterdam, The Hague, Leiden, Delft and Haarlem. By private car we can visit the beautiful Dutch countryside and see windmills, flowers, castles, national parks and old little picturesque towns.
Bottom line, you don’t have to think about anything, I’ll make sure you will see all your favorite destinations, arrange the needed transport and assist with time slots for museums & dinner reservations. But my best quality is the fact that I will surprise you during your stay with unexpected gems of the city or countryside. Are you ready for it?

On May 13th I showed up at the Podcast Travel with Rick Steves. You can listen the whole podcast by clicking the button here on the right!
